Over the past twenty-one years, Women’s Campaign International
has worked tirelessly in more than 45 countries to promote women’s leadership fostering peace building and the lasting transformation of communities.
Women’s Campaign International is a renowned NGO working with individuals and communities throughout the world founded in 1998 by Emmy-winning reporter and U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Margolies.
The African Bicycle Contribution Foundation (ABCF) launched its program of distributing free Ghanaian-made bamboo bicycles to under-resourced Ghanaian rural students, small farmers, and healthcare workers, in September 2016. The distribution of those first 30 bikes, in Accra and Kumasi, was just the first step in the African-American-established NGO’s long-term plan for providing support to young people across Ghana. In July 2019, the Foundation distributed an additional 85 bikes, for a total of 500, over the three-year period, to rural students and teachers from the Ningo-PramPram School District, at an event at the Achimota Golf Club, in Accra.
The SSJ Welcome Center was established to respond to the needs of newcomers in our neighborhood, community and country.
We recognize the many challenges immigrants face as they begin a new life in our country. From learning English, to finding jobs, to communicating with their children’s teachers, to navigating the healthcare system, our students face daily struggles. We aim to educate and provide resources to these friends.
The Albert M. Greenfield Intercultural Center is Penn’s resource for enhancing student’s intercultural knowledge, competency, and leadership through our programs, advising, and advocacy.
