Paco Laborde – AsAboveSoBelow
  As many of you know, Paco is no longer with us. He bore a seminal influence on Philly’s urban art and was an irreplaceable presence in the Philly F&B Industry, the Philly local music scene and an all around force of Love in hugs that many of us still ache for. Iconically known for his word bubbles and distorted faces, Paco’s incessant need to create left behind stark evolutionary stages to his lifetime of artwork. The pieces chosen here are mostly from his later years though 2 of the 4 original works depict lesser publicly known characters.

  Jim Bloom is a Philadelphia local outsider artist known for raw, expressionist works that mix drawing, collage, street-art and written word. His figures often feel broken or vulnerable, and he layers text, pop-culture scraps, and rough linework to explore memory, identity, and urban life. His style and approach can be understood as somewhere between Dubuffet, Basquiat, and zine culture.
